- Visit the "汪喵認領養專區" (Woof & Meow Adoption) section at livestock.yunlin.gov.tw to browse currently available animals
- Download the current list of contracted partner veterinary clinics and foster facilities (available as PDF on the official website's forms section)
- Also searchable at pet.gov.tw — filter by Yunlin County

Visit the partner facility in person to choose your animal
- Confirm the address and visiting hours of your chosen partner facility before going
- Visit in person to browse the available animals and choose one
- Notify staff at the facility once you have made your selection

Complete the adoption application
- Must be at least 18 years old — bring original ID and front/back copies
- Fill out the adoption application form in person at the facility

Veterinary procedures completed on-site — all free
- Rabies vaccination
- Spay/neuter surgery (for dogs)
- Microchip implantation
- Pet registration
- All of the above are completely free — adoption costs NT$0

Legal obligations after adoption
- Spay/neuter: required by law unless a licensed vet provides a medical exemption
- Annual rabies vaccination: required each year
- Microchip registration: must be completed within 4 months of adoption
- Dogs must be leashed in public at all times
